A wedding followed by a Sunday hiking

h.e.l.l.o

Hubby's cousin is getting married this Saturday. For most of the malay weddings, this would mean a whole day kinda event for the whole fam as we need to help out with the last minute preparations and help get everything in place. In fact, this Friday after work, hubby's fam and the rest of the crew are coming from Seremban staying at a home stay in Sungai Buloh where the wedding will be held. Morning time for the akad nikah and come sanding in the afternoon.

On top of that I have signed up the both of us for hiking at Broga Hill on Sunday morning. This was few weeks ago. I thought it would be a good idea to keep us busy and focus on other things. When I reminded him over the hiking plans, he was what this sunday?!?

So i said "Yeah, I told you. We are going to see the sunrise. Need to be there by 5am. Meaning we need to wake up at 4am"
H: No, you did not mention that we had to wake up that early. I need my sleep ya daa yaa da
Me: Yeah, but you said ok for Broga, and I have signed up. People go there to see the sunrise not the sunset
H: No baby no, I don't think I can wake up that early on a Sunday after "sacrificing" my Saturday for my cousin's wedding

hahaha i like to pretend to force him to go, that he didn't have any other option. BUT really I, myself am now not convinced that we could wake up that early. What was I thinking.

Anyway, I have given our names to the recreation committee at my office.. I am a newbie there so I thought it would be good to appear "active" at the beginning. hehe no laaa. it depends, if I like the activities being organized, able to have a good time than yes I would join them all. Then, I did thought it would be good for us to do some exercise, shed some sweat as it has been a while. Once upon a time, I use to join many many runs mostly in KL, and Putrajaya areas (10km). Collected quite a number of medals and even participated in the half marathon, twice! :) i ran (mostly walked) like a tortoise but I managed to cross the finished line. It felt great after. The feeling that you have accomplished something. It didn't matter how you get to the finish line, as long as you don't give up. Hubby did join a couple of time. We were not officially dating at that time so for most of the runs, I went with my galfriends.(Good times!) And guess what, total number of runs joined after wedding as a married couple = 1 haha sangat membanggakan

So, for now, we will see how it goes... regardless of the outcomes, i reckon it will be a good weekend :)) weeeeeeeeeeee

let's bee positive, honey

xoxo

IVF Kasih (Mini IVF) Part 1

Here is the story of our first attempt of mini IVF at IVF Kasih. What is mini IVF? Mini IVF is a less invasive, less hassle and a minimal stimulation method some couple opt for to reduce the stress of going through the full ivf. And in terms of the price it cost half the actual price. I won't go into the details too much as you can easily google :) With IVF Kasih in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam it cost us RM 8,800. Any test that they require you to do before the ivf cycle begins such as hormone test, HIV test and the medication needed if you successfully become pregnant will not be part of the package. All in all the cost for us was probably about RM 8,800 + additional RM 1,500.  We begin with scanning on CD2, at this point, I had developed a cysts of my right ovaries. None whatsoever before. Yes, these things happened. Sabar. Then it appears that there were no follicles on my left side. Hence, the doc said, if that is the case, there is a risk that if you start the mini ivf this c...

IVF Kasih (Mini IVF) Part 2

As we arrived in Ipoh, we met the embryologist who told us that all 3 eggs were able to be fertilized. 2 eggs continue to steadily grow while the 3 rd did not. The 2 little fertilized eggs were in good condition and ready to be transferred. I remember the embryologist explained about the grade and the development of the eggs, I just could not recall the exact word she said. I think she said one was in an excellent condition while the other was fairly good. At that point I was just happy to hear that we have 2 embryos and the transfer can be done that day.   Long story short, the transfer was done. It was quick and painless but it was nerve wrecking to be in that position. The room was so cold because of the strong air condition. Dr Tham made me feel more relax. He even turned on the zikir and doa from youtube for me during the procedure. It reaaaallly made me feel more calm throughout the whole process. Hubsy was not allowed to go in to accompany me. Then I had to lay d...

A little update

A little update. After failing to conceive twice through IUI, we have decided to proceed with IVF at IVF Kasih. We did our check ups just before Ramadhan and the Doctor said when we are ready we can give the clinic a call come cycle day 1. I am planning to document and share it in the blog as we take this new journey together. We always hope for the best but its all up to the Almighty if this will be a success. I do hope that it will be a smooth one. IVF Kasih offers a suppose to be less invasive, low stimulation form of IVF where they say it will be more natural, less visit to the hospital (=less stress), less amount of medication to be consumed and mostly because the cost is way cheaper than regular IVF aka mini IVF. I did the research, cheaper does not mean that it won't work. Although it seems to have lower probability to succeed, 40% vs 30% for women age 35 below, it is still a good number. If money is not an issue, I probably would still go for mini IVF and see how it goe...
